Deluxe M17

Description

The Deluxe M17 is a multi-head wire stitcher designed for high-production stitching of pamphlets, checkbooks, ticket books, and similar short-count multi-section publications requiring multiple simultaneous stitches per set. The machine accommodates ten 26D stitching heads or eight G8 stitching heads, allowing it to place multiple stitches across the spine or body of each piece in a single stroke. With G8 heads, the machine handles stock from 2 sheets up to 5/16″ (8 mm) thick; with 26D heads, the capacity is 2 sheets up to 1/4″ (6 mm) thick.

Compatible wire sizes include 21-25 gauge round wire and 21×25 flat wire. A single adjustment sets the compression and wire draw on all heads simultaneously, making it straightforward to dial in consistent clinch quality across all stitching positions at once. This single-point adjustment system is a significant operational advantage when running the full head complement on long production runs, as it eliminates the need to individually tune each head during setup.

The M17 is built for commercial printers, specialty publishers, direct mail producers, and trade binderies that need to place multiple stitches per piece at production rates that single-head machines cannot match. Typical applications include checkbooks (where multiple stitches bind check pads to stubs), ticket books, coupon sets, carbonless form pads, and compact publication runs requiring saddle or side stitching across a narrow spine.
