General Questions
How do I know which binding method is right for my jobs?
It comes down to page count, how the finished piece will be used, and the look your customer expects. Plastic coil, double loop wire, perfect binding, and case binding each have their place. Tell us your typical run length and specs and we will point you to the right method and machine. We match machine to job, not the other way around.
Do you sell to dealers?
Yes. We have worked with dealers for decades and stock equipment and supplies at dealer volume. Contact us for dealer pricing and availability.
Can I get parts for a machine I did not buy from you, or one that is no longer manufactured?
In most cases, yes. We stock over forty thousand parts, including parts for bindery equipment that has not been built in decades. Our machine shop can also fabricate parts for any machine we sell.
Can I see a machine run before I buy?
Yes. We have videos of most machines in operation, and you can schedule a demo with our team. If you are in the New York area, you can also visit our showroom in Garden City Park.
Do you sell reconditioned equipment?
We do. Every reconditioned machine goes through our own inspection and rebuild process. Worn parts are replaced, the machine is cleaned and tested, and it leaves our shop warrantied.
What supplies do you stock?
Sterling® Digiloop wire spools, cut wire, perfect binding glue, plastic coil, laminating film, UV solution, hangers, and filament. Our supplies run on other manufacturers’ machines too, not just ours. If you do not see what you need, ask. We can usually source it.
Which glue should I run in my perfect binder?
It depends on your stock. Standard EVA handles uncoated stock and padding, while coated or glossy stock calls for a more aggressive EVA or a PUR adhesive. Our glues work in perfect binders from any manufacturer. Tell us what you bind and we will match the glue to it.
How fast can you ship equipment and supplies?
We keep machines and supplies in stock rather than ordering to fulfill, so most orders ship quickly. With warehouses on both coasts, including our Sacramento, California location, West Coast delivery is faster than ever. Contact us for current lead times.
