Casemaking Line

Description

The ODM Casemaking Line is a complete, modular hardcover case production system designed for on-demand and short-run hardcover book manufacturing, including photo books, yearbooks, journals, menu covers, and padded binders. The system is built around the coordinated operation of four core components: the Spreader (top-side cold adhesive gluer), the Slider (case gauging and alignment table), the Stomper (air-operated turning-in machine), and the Squeezer (rotary press). Together, these four stations take a flat, scored case board and adhesive-coated cover material from raw components to a finished hardcover case ready for casing-in.

The standard Casemaking Line produces between 120 and 200 hardcover cases per hour, depending on operator experience and case size. The system is designed to be operated by one person, and adding a second operator can effectively double throughput. The standard system accommodates cases up to 18″ in width by any length, handling stock from wallet size up to tabloid, with a spine thickness up to 4″.

The modular design allows shops to start with a basic configuration and add or upgrade individual stations as volume grows. All components are built for durability in a production environment and are designed to work with standard cold PVA adhesives. The ODM Casemaking Line is the preferred entry point for digital printers and binderies looking to produce professional hardcover books in-house without the capital investment of fully automated inline case binding systems.
