- We use only high quality tool steel for our die plates and punch pins, which are hardened and inspected to ensure your die will last many years after the purchase.
- We do not use bronze in any part of our dies. Bronze is a wearable material that is acceptable for shaft bushings– but not for guiding punch pins into a hardened die plate. We sharpen many of our competitor’s dies and have noticed that bronze wears at an accelerated rate compared to high quality steel used in tandem with an oil felt retainer.
