Description

The Akiles VersaMac is a heavy-duty, commercial-grade modular electric binding punch designed to accommodate interchangeable dies for coil, wire, comb, ring binder, and a range of other binding patterns. A single machine platform serves multiple binding systems by simply swapping the die set, making the VersaMac appropriate for operations that offer multiple binding styles without wanting to invest in a separate punch for each format.

The machine features an industrial-grade induction AC motor rated at 400 W with a high heat-resistant electromagnetic brake, providing reliable punching performance on heavy and continuous use without overheating. Punch capacity varies by die pattern; for standard 4:1 round coil, the machine punches 35 sheets per lift, with an optional extra-high capacity configuration reaching up to 55 sheets. The punching length is 14 inches with open ends, allowing easy punching of legal-size sheets and longer custom formats without repositioning.

An adjustable depth margin accommodates the correct punch margin depth for each element size and binding system, and disengageable pins allow the operator to punch partial patterns for any paper size without punching holes in unwanted areas. The VersaMac weighs approximately 108 lbs. and accepts both foot pedal and manual punch operation.
