Booklet Maker In Line System

Description

The Graphic Whizard Complete Booklet Maker In-line System is a three-component integrated production line consisting of the PT 33PFA pile feeder with accumulator, the PT 33SF stitch-and-fold unit, and the PT 33FT face trimmer. Together, the three units produce a fully finished, face-trimmed saddle-stitched booklet from a collated set of sheets with no manual intervention between steps. The system runs at up to 1,500 booklets per hour on 11″ x 8.5″ stock (half-fold), with power requirements of 110-130V, 50/60Hz, 15A per unit.

The PT 33PFA accepts a high pile of pre-collated sheet sets, allows the operator to program the number of sheets per booklet, accumulates each complete set, and delivers it to the PT 33SF with ultrasonic double-sheet detection to verify set accuracy before stitching. The PT 33SF stitches and folds each set using heavy-duty Deluxe stitching heads with active clinchers and 5 lb. wire spools, feeding into a powerful knife folding unit with conveyor belt delivery. The PT 33FT receives the stitched and folded booklet and face-trims it to finished size using a book press and face-trim clamp for a clean, consistent cut.

The system is designed for digital print shops, corporate print departments, and commercial printers that produce regular volumes of saddle-stitched booklets, catalogs, programs, and manuals. Using 5 lb. wire spools rather than staple cartridges reduces per-piece cost at scale. The complete three-unit line can be operated by a single person and represents a significant upgrade in throughput and consistency over standalone desktop booklet makers.
