Description

The MBM StitchFold is a wire-stitch booklet maker designed for moderate-to-high-volume production of saddle-stitched booklets, programs, manuals, and catalogs. The machine produces up to 2,300 finished booklets per hour and handles booklets from 2 sheets up to 100 pages (50 sheets), managing variable thickness without requiring setup changes or mechanical adjustments between jobs. The machine runs from large-capacity wire spools, producing up to 65,000 booklets before a spool change is needed, minimizing production interruptions on long runs.

The StitchFold features push-button controls with a 6-digit counter and a leg adjustment function that allows the operator to set staple leg length to match the thickness of the booklet being produced, improving clinch quality across different page counts. The knife fold system with dual fold rollers produces a crisp, consistent crease, and the powered exit conveyor delivers finished booklets smoothly to a collection area. Paper sizes up to 12.7″ x 18.5″ are supported, accommodating both letter and tabloid-size booklet formats.

The StitchFold includes an interface for running in-line with a collator, and is available with an optional face trimmer attachment for producing fully finished, trimmed booklets from the inline configuration. The StitchFold is appropriate for copy centers, commercial printers, corporate print departments, and trade binderies that produce consistent booklet volume and need reliable, low-maintenance wire stitching and folding in a compact machine footprint.
