Description
The Sterling® Coilmaster Pro FB is a fully automatic plastic coil former / binder with speeds of up to 1,200 books per hour using pre-punched books. Plastic coil is formed and then placed on a cooling conveyor, and then into a hopper, before being inserted into the book. The advantage of the cooling conveyer and hopper is to allow time for the coil to harden before inserting. No exact timing is required between the forming and inserting which makes inserting more reliable.
This machine can bind pre-punched books using coil diameters from 8mm up to 20mm using 4-1 pitch and up to 30mm using 3-1 pitch.
A book eject station is used if a coil is not inserted completely into the book which means the machine does not stop if a bad book is encountered.
The Sterling Pro PFB (shown in picture) is the fully automated machine punching before the forming and binding process. This model can also produce coil diameters up to 30mm.
