XDC-530 Micro

Description

The Graphic Whizard VividCoater XDC-530 Micro is a UV flood coater engineered for short-to-medium run UV coating applications in digital print shops and commercial binderies. The machine coats stock from 128 to 450 gsm at variable speeds reaching up to 2,700 sheets per hour, and accommodates a maximum sheet width of 20.75 inches with unlimited sheet length. Coating thickness is adjustable from 5 to 25.4 microns, and the UV coating reservoir holds approximately 9 lb. (4.1 kg) of UV fluid, sufficient for over 5,000 sheets.

The XDC-530 Micro features a polished chrome metering roller, chrome bottom roller, and stainless steel doctor blade for consistent, controlled fluid transfer to the sheet surface. A vacuum-cooled UV lamp with adjustable intensity ensures proper cure across varying coating weights and sheet speeds. The machine recycles unused UV fluid during operation, eliminating waste and reducing per-sheet coating costs. An IR lamp is included as standard for pre-drying before UV cure.

The machine requires a 208-240V, 50/60Hz, 1-phase electrical supply with a 30-amp breaker. The XDC-530 Micro is designed for shops wanting to offer UV coating on digitally printed pieces such as covers, postcards, business cards, packaging, and promotional materials, without committing to the cost and footprint of a large-format UV coater. Its compact design and accessible coating system make it a practical entry point for in-house UV coating production.
